Our Story
Line & Verse began as a New York extension of Pulse, a South Asian dance and music publication produced by UK arts charity Kadam. Pulse has long played an important role in documenting the South Asian arts landscape in the UK by profiling artists, discussing and contextualising their work, and helping to keep the sector informed, connected, and energised. Line & Verse draws inspiration from this approach while developing a platform rooted in the artistic community of New York City.
Editor & Founder
Swati Seshadri – A bharatanatyam artist and carnatic vocalist based in New York City, Swati created Line & Verse to build more space for thoughtful peer engagement and for artists to take an active role in documenting and reflecting on the work being created within their community.
